The Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, Mr. Abdelkader DJELAOUI, on Thursday, April 23, 2026, carried out an unannounced visit to the construction site of the ‘Taleb Abdelrahmane’ metro station in Bab El Oued, Algiers. At this site, major excavation works are underway along with the reinforcement of the tunnel using special pillars, in parallel with the construction of ventilation structures, as well as works on the various station entrances. This visit forms part of the metro extension works on the section linking Place des Martyrs to Bab El Oued.
