As part of monitoring the implementation of strategic projects in the basic infrastructure sector, the Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, Mr. Abdelkader Djalaoui, carried out, on Saturday and Sunday, February 14 and 15, 2026, a working visit dedicated to inspecting the progress of the Eastern mining railway line Annaba–Bilad al-Hadba (Tébessa), stretching over 422 km and crossing the wilayas of Tébessa, Souk Ahras, Guelma, El Tarf, and Annaba.
During this mission, the Minister also reviewed the progress of the expansion works at the phosphate port of Annaba, including the completion of the mining quay integrated into the Phosphate Integrated Project (P.P.I.).
