On Saturday, February 7th, 2026, the Prime Minister, Mr. Saïfi Ghrib, visited the wilaya of Annaba for a working visit and inspection dedicated to assessing the progress of the extension works at the Port of Annaba, particularly the construction of the mining quay included in the integrated phosphate project.
During this visit, the Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mr. Mohamed Arkab; the Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, Mr. Saïd Saïoud; the Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructures, Mr. Abdelkader DJELLAOUI; the Minister of Industry, Mr. Yahia Bachir; as well as the Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Mr. Abdelmalek Tacherift.
This visit falls within the framework of implementing the instructions of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, concerning the need to accelerate the pace of construction of the mining quay as part of the Port of Annaba extension project, given its strategic importance in supporting the national phosphate chain, enhancing the port’s capacity to handle large shipments, and improving the flow of exports to global markets.
